General Information

This eco-friendly hotel is just 4 km from the   sacred city of Hierapolis, now Pamukkale, an important tourism center of Turkey. Hierapolis went down in history as an ancient city, destroyed by an earthquake of 1354 and never more rebuilt. Its ruins to this day delight all tourists. 

Hierapolis was founded at the foot of an extinct volcano. For more than one hundred thousand years the volcano has kept in its bowels hot magmatic springs saturated with salts of calcium, magnesium and carbon dioxide. The base of the extinct volcano is surrounded by a 150-meter cascade of frozen three-kilometer wide waterfalls that glisten white.

The cascades and terraces of Pamukkale , called the "cotton fortress", resemble a fairytale castle built of white calcareous tufa - travertine . The temperature of the Pamukkale springs is 30-38 ⁰. They pour 250 - 280 liters of hot mineral water per second. The total number of natural pools of travertine terraces reaches 20 thousand. The curative properties of these sources were seen in ancient times. Cleopatra herself came here for taking baths of mineral water. Until now, preserved the travertine in which she bathed. It was called "Cleopatra's Bath".
